President Trump said in a press briefing today that Chloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine, drugs used to treat Malaria and severe Arthritis, have been approved by the FDA to test as a COVID-19 Coronavirus treatment. These drugs will be used in a clinical trial. Antiviral medications will also be fast tracked for FDA approval, as per Trump.

Doctors and Scientists are working to find an effective treatment for Coronavirus, as one does not exist. The first vaccine trial began Monday March 16, 2020 in Seattle, with the first person to enroll in the trial receiving the vaccine. The vaccine, mRNA-1273, was developed by Biotechnology Company Moderna in combination with researchers from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
