Every great achievement begins with a single step, no matter how small. Success isn’t about being the best; it’s about being better than you were yesterday. Challenges may slow you down, but they can’t stop you.

Endless studies have proven the effect of exercise of both physical and mental health! Getting in more movement can help in improving brain health, reduce risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, build stamina and many other amazing things! Our bodies weren’t built to be sitting all day, so get up and move!

Have a more balanced diet!

Have a more balanced diet

Having a balanced diet is essential to good health. That means ensuring that you are having enough protein, carbohydrate, fiber and healthy fats! Your body needs the macro and micronutrients in the different foods in order to function properly!

Avoid processed foods, chemicals, dyes etc.. in your foods

Always remember whole foods are the way to go! Obviously with living in such a fast world, we have to eat processed foods at time, but try to keep it as fresh as you can! The shorter and simpler the ingredient list, the better. Be on the lookout for added colors ( Red 40, Yellow 6, etc..) as they are very commonly added to foods. Just be cautious because most additives are new and we don’t know their long-term side effects just yet.

Just spending 5-10 minutes of your day writing about your thoughts, feelings etc.. can be extremely helful in terms of mental health. Remember, mental health is also extremely important.

People really underestimate the power of just going outdoors and getting some fresh air. It truly makes a huge difference. Fresh air not only cleans your lungs, it can also boost your mood, lower your heart rate, increase energy levels and even improve digestion a study found.

You can increase your motivation by always having something to look forward to. This helps your brain be in a better state of mind.

Surround yourself with people who love you

Surround yourself with people who love you

You can build a positive environment for yourself by cutting the toxic people. In your life and only surrounding yourself with people who have your best interests at heart. This helps to address the mental health aspect of your overall health.
