Meet our specialist - Dr Arun Kochar

Introduction

Dr Arun Kochar did his MBBS and MD from L.L.R.M. Medical College, Meerut University followed by DM from K.G.M.C, Lucknow University and DNB from National Board of Examination, New Delhi. With an experience of 19 years, Dr Arun Kochar has performed over 10,000 procedures till date. He is a senior consultant at Fortis Hospital, Mohali and was pioneer in initiating radial interventions at Fortis hospital.

Dr Arun’s special interests include Exclusive radial Interventions, Nuclear cardiology and Preventive cardiology. He independently operates routine high risk cases such as primary angioplasty as well multi vessels angioplasty, Heart failure device implantation, AICD implantation and high-risk pediatric interventions.

Accomplishment

Dr Arun has attended a number of conferences both at the national and international level. He was selected as a chairperson for a session at the prestigious annual meeting of the Cardiology society of India (CSI) and Asian Pacific cardiology Congress (APCC) at Mumbai in the year 2005.

He had also been invited as a faculty for the II Indo Pakistan Interventional Cardiology Summit held in Jaipur in the year 2006.

His abstract “Pharmacoeconomic evaluation of drugs used for the treatment of hypertension” has been accepted for presentation at 21st European meeting on hypertension at Milan, June 17-20, 2011.
